courses of adaptation

Purpose

The UA Polytechnic School runs adaptation courses aimed at holders of degrees that were gradually phased out from the 2010-2011 academic year onwards. Through these courses, architectural and engineering technologists can earn the new undergraduate degrees and apply for public administration positions at the same level as holders of undergraduate degrees.

Courses on offer

  • Adaptation course for holders of the First-Cycle Degree in Architectural Technology to earn the Undergraduate Degree in Architectural Technology.
  • Adaptation course for holders of the First-Cycle Degree in Sound and Image Engineering Technology in Telecommunications to earn the Undergraduate Degree in Sound and Image Engineering in Telecommunications.
  • Adaptation courses for holders of the First-Cycle Degree in Civil Engineering Technology to earn the Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering

Course subjects

The adaptation courses will comprise those undergraduate degree subjects that, according to the applicable equivalence tables, are not equivalent to any of the subjects taken during the former first-cycle degrees.

Periods

The courses will be run over the first and second terms each academic year, depending on the term in which the relevant subjects are taught

Admission requirements

Holding any of the following degrees:

  • First-Cycle Degree in Architectural Technology
  • First-Cycle Degree in Sound and Image Engineering Technology in Telecommunications
  • First-Cycle Degree in Civil Engineering Technology

Those having earned any of the above degrees from universities whose curricula are significantly different from UA ones will be denied admission.

Final project

In all the adaptation courses on offer, students will be required to undertake a final project.

B1 level

Under the UA regulations for the implementation of undergraduate degrees, students will be required to prove that they have at least the B1 level of a language according to the Common European Reference Framework for modern languages to earn a degree. A B2 level is recommended.
